Our Mission

Learning House is a professional community committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities in safe and supportive surroundings.

We facilitate literacy for children and adults, and provide evaluations and individualized evidence-based instruction using the philosophy and principles of Orton-Gillingham, a multisensory, systematic, code-based approach to teaching reading, spelling and writing.

We also provide consultation and teacher education and training in schools, as well as at Learning House. We aim to develop an effective working relationship with each student, inform parents, and provide the knowledge and skills that will increase confidence and success in school and life.
